To achieve the political, economic, cultural and scientific independence of Iraq and to avoid depending on the developed countries that dominate outer space along with their ownership of various space services, the urgent need arose for the establishment of the Iraqi Space Agency (ISA). Due to the current critical financial circumstances experienced by our country (Iraq), the Space AffairsDepartment has been created in the short term to be the seed for building the Iraqi Space Agency in the future.
